A first class service from first class people
They handled our situation very sensitively, as we were selling due to a bereavement. The level of communication was just right and not only did we receive the advice we wanted, they also listened to us. We came into contact with various people in the Glenrothes office and they were all a credit to your organisation and to the profession, which often receives negative comments. My service feedback with Lettings
There is an assumption that calls can be returned within a short period of time which is not always possible. When ringing back to return calls only one person can respond to query and if they have not been in the office then there does not appear to be good communication between staff.

Initial contact with the valuer was positive. However, the actual sales process was very poor. The house went live on the Thursday and they had no assisted viewing slots available for the Saturday! Surely, a little planning would be have been advantageous. Viewings were organised as 'open house / group viewings' , not explained to me at the point of signing to their service. I had estate agents doing the viewings who had not previously seen the property. In the end, we had to do viewings ourselves and my sister essentially sold the property. I had no contact from anyone from the point of agreeing the price through to completion, although they did contact my lawyer to find out how the conveyency was going along (obviously keen to get their fee!). A week before our completion date, I received an invoice for their fee, with no covering letter...just a plain invoice from them. I waited a few days after completion to see if anyone would have the manners to call me and thank me for my business, but alas, nothing. I took the liberty of calling Stephen Leighton, who had persuaded me to use his service to give my feedback on the service. I would not recommend Slater Hogg and their service to anyone. The housing market in Scotland is not exactly buoyant and this service was well below expectation. I am only grateful that the property sold quickly and that I did not have a prolonged dealing with them.Customer Relations Team 01-Dec-2017
